October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Hoag hospital is doing a special event for their cancer patients who are in active treatment. Since I am still in active treatment, I am qualified to participate in it. They have a ‘Yoga with the Chargers’ event where we get to do a one-hour session of morning yoga at the LA Charger practice field in Costa Mesa. Not only that, we get to meet a few of the players too who actually join us in the yoga class that morning.
It was a fun day. I got to meet fellow cancer friends and made new friends too. They sent us home with lots of goodies including a custom yoga mat, T-shirt, etc. etc.
Thank you Hoag Hospital and LA Chargers for doing this event and for making us feel loved.
