Do you know that each sunflower is actually thousands of tiny flowers? And that each sunflower can contain as many as 1000 to 2000 seeds. The tallest sunflower ever recorded was over 30 feet tall. True to its name, this beautiful flower seems to follow the sun.
Come and have some fun as we paint colorful sunflowers. Do you know that watercolor painting is the perfect way to destress? I have heard it over and over again from many of my students of how much they enjoy being able to just sit, be “quiet†and paint. They find the activities very relaxing and enjoyable.
My classes are geared for people who have never picked up a brush before or beginners with some experience that want to learn more about watercolor.  I will teach you some simple and basic skills to help you get comfortable with your brushes and watercolors. By the end of the class, you will be pleasantly surprised with what you can create with those simple techniques and a little handholding from me.
I will provide watercolor paint and brushes that you can use during class.
Each workshop includes:
- 2 hours of instructions
- Instructional materials
- Cold pressed watercolor paper
- Light refreshments
Come and join me and explore the wonderful world of watercolor. Contact me if you would like to take this class.
I am a Southern California local and a proud momma of three. I am a watercolor artist, surface pattern and graphic designer. I work primarily with Photoshop and Illustrator. A few years ago, I’d never thought of calling myself an artist, let alone being commissioned to work on several pieces of watercolor and acrylic paintings for private clients.
Having a degree in Computer Science and having worked in the IT corporate environment help me understand the pressure and stress that come with it and how important it is that we find a way to destress and relax. As a young computer analyst, I appreciated the precision and consistency of numbers and codes, but when I became a mother, I learned to improvise and embrace the whimsical, artistic, and spontaneous. I have grown to thoroughly love both its meticulousness and creative freedom, both of which I could not truly appreciate without my years as a programmer and mother. Even before I ever touched a paintbrush, I was always able to find a way to do this through various crafts, reading, etc. But now that I have been painting and working with Adobe Creative Suites for several years, I realize how calming, relaxing and beneficial these activities can be.
