You see hand lettering just about everywhere nowadays.
Have you ever wished you could write like that?
Have you ever wondered if you could ever write like that?
I will show you how you can take your own handwriting to another level and make it look amazing.
What is faux calligraphy?
It is creating calligraphy style writing using standard writing instruments such as pencils, pens, markers, chalks, etc.
Why faux calligraphy?
1. It is a fantastic introduction to hand lettering. You don’t need special tools that you are not familiar with. You can focus on your letter shapes and strokes without worrying about calligraphy pens not working properly, spilling ink, etc.
2. This in turn enables you to build muscle memory and confidence before attempting to use other fancier writing instruments.
3. I prefer to use the straight lettering style because it helps me to be able to focus on letterforms and spacing instead of worrying about whether my letters lean correctly.
4. Faux calligraphy is very versatile because it will give you the flexibility and ability to write on any surfaces. For examples chalkboards, glass, wood, and walls.
So, if you are ready to take your handwriting to the next level, join me for this 2-part class where you will learn the basics of lowercase and uppercase letters as well as numbers. I will also show you how to layout and hand letter a quote and make it look polished. Our final projects include writing gift tags and lettering a quote on a plate. All the materials for the class and the projects are included.
Impress your family and friends this holiday season with beautifully written gift tags, cards, and even handmade gifts.
