Don’t let those worries ruin your day and your health. Watercolor painting is the perfect way to destress. I will show you several exercises that not only will let you explore your creativity but will help you manage and relieve your stress too.
My classes are geared for people who have never picked up a brush before or beginners with some experience that want to learn more about watercolor. I will teach you some simple and basic skills to help you get comfortable with your brushes and watercolors. By the end of the class, you will be pleasantly surprised with what you can create with those simple techniques and a little hand-holding from me.
The class includes all the supplies you need that you get to take home so you can continue painting on your own. We will cover a quick review of color theory, and then we will jump right into brush techniques, color washes, a little drawing and a few other simple techniques.
We will be painting lots of colorful autumn leaves and trees. Not only will you go home with some amazing paintings, you will leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Come and join me and explore the wonderful world of watercolor.

Here is a little about me.
I am a Southern California local and a proud momma of three—two of which have since flown the coop. Nowadays, I do hand lettering, watercolor, calligraphy, and graphic design, working primarily with Photoshop and Illustrator. A few years ago, I’d never thought of calling myself an artist, let alone painting four murals at two of my church’s campuses and having one featured on the TV show, “We’re the Campbells.”
Having a degree in Computer Science and having worked in the IT corporate environment help me understand the pressure and stress that come with it and how important it is that we find a way to destress and relax. As a young computer analyst, I appreciated the precision and consistency of numbers and codes, but when I became a mother, I learned to improvise and embrace the whimsical, artistic, and spontaneous. I have grown to thoroughly love both its meticulousness and creative freedom, both of which I could not truly appreciate without my years as a programmer and mother. Even before I ever touched a paintbrush, I was always able to find a way to do this through various crafts, reading, etc. But now that I have been painting and hand lettering for several years, I realize how calming, relaxing and beneficial these activities can be.
